Director of Design
As Principal in Charge of OSports, Chris is responsible for general oversight of projects to dedicate the necessary resources for projects so that client expectations and needs are met. He participates in the upfront planning of projects, helping to define project scope, schedule and budget. Chris also acts as liaison between architecture and engineering, and coordinates engineering services and specialized consultants such as lighting, sound systems, wayfinding, seating, pool consultants, and others. Chris also leads the master planning and architectural staff and assists in business and client relations efforts. His career spans 26 years, the last decade of which has been focused on sports and recreation architecture. His project experience includes design of a new 5,000-seat Frontier League baseball park in Avon, Ohio; design of the new Don Shula Stadium at John Carroll University; design of Heritage Park at Progressive Field, the Cleveland Indians Hall of Fame, and the Midland Lutheran College Event Center. He also served as a core design team member for the new Cleveland Browns Stadium, completed in 1999 with a budget of $352 million. Chris is currently leading planning for several Athletic Master Plans, a core service area strength of OSports. Chris earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati.
